Join us for a weekend of exploring the complexities of contemporary textile and garment production in Ghana. This event will include a public conversation facilitated by Carole Frances Lung, Assistant Professor of Art at CSULA, who recently spent 6 weeks researching the varieties of textile and garment production in Ghana, and Molly Keogh, co-owner of Osei-Duro, a Los Angeles/Accra- based fashion label. An exhibition of CSULA student projects produced in Ghana will be on view, and visitors can shop all weekend from our trunk show with items from Osei-Duro and the Foot Print Textile and Art Shop, based in Tamale, Ghana.
