CAFAM launches its travel program with a specially curated trip to support the strong and vibrant arts community in Asheville, North Carolina. Located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville is considered the epicenter of art and contemporary craft in the southeastern United States.
The trip includes visits to artist studios, private collections, museums, and renowned artisanal food purveyors, many of which are located in former factory buildings, railroad sheds, and tobacco barns that have been converted into contemporary art spaces featuring the best Southern regional art and craft. The tour will include four nights’ accommodation At Aloft hotel, porterage, daily lunch, two special dinners, all entrance fees, motorcoach transportation, and special excursions to the Biltmore Estate and the Penland School of Crafts. A donation to the Craft & Folk Art Museum is included in the total cost.
